For an upscaling assessment integration in product design

Reaching 2015 Paris Agreements means targeting zero-carbon emission worldwide societies by the second half of this century. It implies a wide-ranging transformation all industries, supported deployment numerous technologies at unprecedented industrial and time scales. This paper questions definition concept “upscaling”, often related to transitioning, used in different scientific communities without explicit shared across disciplines. A literature study is therefore carried out investigate characterizing factors defining “upscaling” as transforming function applied studied system or boundary, taking it from one state another. The proposed analyzing framework enables us establish five archetypes upscaling. In addition, for each archetype, examples methods commonly consider and/or anticipate “change scale” product design have been selected. They rely on techno-economic models dealing with environmental aspects partial approach. Finally, concludes current options helping designers assess impact generated its choices context

Stefan problem with kinetics is reduced to a system of nonlinear Volterra integral equations of second kind and Newton's method is applied to linearize it. Product integration solution of the linear form is found and sufficient conditions for convergence of the numerical method are given.
